Today, our new article entitled “A frequency comb stabilized Ti:Sa laser as a self-reference for ion-trap experiments with a 40Ca+ ion” by F. Domínguez, J. Bañuelos, J. Berrocal, J. J. Del Pozo, M. Hernández, A. Carrasco-Sanz, J. Cerrillo, P. Escobedo-Araque, and D. Rodríguez has been published in the journal Review of Scientific Instruments.

In this work, we report on the frequency stabilization of a Ti:Sa laser to our optical frequency comb for calibration of an ultra-accurate wavelength meter. The laser is addresses a 866 nm electric dipole transition in 40Ca+ for Doppler cooling experiments in the linear Paul trap setup.
